Link Health and Community is committed to a connected, active, and healthier Monash local community.
We work in partnership with Access Health and Community and healthAbility to improve the health and wellbeing of our community in the Inner East (Boroondara, Manningham, Monash and Whitehorse local government areas). To do this, ‘the partnership’ applies an integrated place-based, systems-thinking approach to health promotion.
- Healthy eating: making the healthy option, the easy option
- Active living: moving more and sitting less
We also look at how climate change, gender, and health equity impact our health, as well as how we can address these issues.
Our place-based approach:
We aim to create healthy places where we live, learn, work, connect and play.
Link Health and Community are currently working in:
- Sport & recreation
- Sports clubs and leagues
- Sports and recreation facilities
- Early years
- Early childhood services
- Maternal child health services
- Education
- Schools
- Outside School Hours Care
Our systems-thinking approach:
We use a systems-thinking framework, tools, and practice to achieve a healthier community.

Blender bike hire:
Link Health and Community offers a blender bike for hire to add some excitement and fun to your next function. As you pedal the bike, it powers the blender.
The aim of the Blender Bike is to teach people how to make healthy snacks, such as smoothies and dips, while having fun and being active. Download the flyer for more information.
Blender bike hire is available across the Inner East Melbourne region. Please allow minimum 5 business days’ notice for all hire requests.
